Welcome to Elm Class
Hello Elm Class!
I can't wait to see you all in September! I have made a quick video tour of Beech Classroom for you. Hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful summer!
From Mrs Morris xx
Summer Term 2
Our topic this term is Ocean Explorers. We will be looking at sea creatures, beaches, pirates and mermaids.
Our home learning this term is going to look a little bit different. Every Wednesday I will be uploading a grid to Seesaw with a range of different activities linked to our topic. On Wednesdays I will also be looking at your wonderful work from the week.
Please stay safe and take care

Summer Term 2020
We are now in the summer term and I hope you are already for some more home learning. Our topic this term is ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. We will be looking at farm animals, mini beasts and dinosaurs.
I have been so impressed with your home learning work - keep it up!
We miss you all lots. Please stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all soon!

This week we have been thinking about the meaning behind VE Day. We spoke to different family members to find out what happened to our own families during the war. We found out where our families were evacuated too and the new skills they learnt.
also learnt what rationing means and tried to ration our own food for a day.
Have a look at some of our wonderful work and VE Day flags!
Take a look at some of our lovely home learning we have completed so far:
Welcome to the Spring Term!
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year to you all! We have an exciting term coming up with our topic 'Once Upon A Time'.
We really enjoyed having a visit form West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. They taught us what to in case of an emergency and how to keep ourselves safe. We also got to go inside of the fire engine and see all the different pieces of equipment stored inside.
This week we have really enjoyed learning more about fairy tales. We have loved sharing and reading our favourite stories with our families, friends and Ash Class this week.
On Thursday we came dressed up as our favourite fairy tale character and it was our class assembly! We loved performing our Goldilocks song and performing our character fairy tale dance.
On Pancake Day we had great fun learning how to make our own pancakes. We measured out the ingredients and all whisked the mixture together. Our favourite part was definitely eating the pancakes... yum yum!!!!
During 'Science Week' we were focusing on keeping healthy. As part of our exciting week, we tried some different fruits that many of us had not tried before.
They were really tasty!!
We have loved PE this term, we have been on a space adventure. We have been thinking about different ways of jumping around the moon.
We really enjoyed raising money for Children in Need on Friday 18th November! Here are some photos of us on the day and at our 'Pudsey Disco'.
On Maths Investigation Day the children loved exploring Maths in the outdoor learning environment. We focused on recognising numbers, drawing shapes and making different patterns.
We have started teaching phonics over the last few weeks.
Please click the video below to hear the pronunciation of the letter sounds the children have been learning.
