Bikeability
In the Autumn Term our year 6 children take part in a week of Bikeability. This course is designed to increase children's bike riding confidence and skills whilst also teaching them how to be safe and responsible on the road.
The children start the week by riding around the school playground, practising signalling to turn the corners and looking behind them to check for traffic before turning. Later in the week, the trained instructors take the children around the local area where they then apply the skills they have learnt to safely navigate the roads.
