It is really important to have a shared partnership with parents and we welcome parent helpers in school. Parents can help in a variety of ways during the school day such as hearing reading, sewing, or accompanying school trips. Together we can work to make the most of a child's talents and can encourage learning so that a child receives the maximum benefit from their time at school .

We value feedback and regularly seek parents’ views through questionnaires. Parents are also given the opportunity to express their views through the Parent View website and we encourage you to do so at:
Parent Consultation afternoons and evenings are held during the academic year when parents are given the opportunity to see their child's work and discuss their progress but staff are always willing to meet parents after 3.15pm with an appointment.

Written reports are sent home towards the end of the Summer Term to all parents. Parents of children in Year 2 will also receive their child's end of Key Stage Standard Assessment results. Parents of Reception children will have the opportunity to discuss the Foundation Stage profile with the class teacher.

There is an active Friends of Bartons group who help with the organisation of various fund-raising events held throughout the year. Meetings are held regularly and all parents are welcome to attend.
