Book Week 2022

Welcome to Book Week 2022
What a fabulous week! For Book Week 2022, we decided to do things a little differently plus bring back 'The Masked Reader' for another year. We had to guess which member of Team Bartons was reading an extract from a The Snail and the Whale. We also had a very special virtual visit form Momoko Abe an author and illustrator. 
 
Year 3 and 4
In Year 3 and 4, we studied the book Charlotte's Web. We focused on the range of amazing vocabulary used within the text. We created our own stop motion videos inspired by the book. 
Year 5 and 6 
 
In Year 5 and 6, we studied the book Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. We created our own Greek Gods inspired by the text. We did this by designing its appearance, its attributes and finally making a sculpture. We also used the green screen to recreate a scene from the book. 
Year R, 1 and 2
In Year R, 1 and 2 we had a very special visit from Stuart Little. He left footprints in our classroom and he even brought with him a copy of a story all about him. This is the book we were studying for 'Book Week'. We also used the green screen to create short scenes from the story.
